Since 2008, the Korea Arts Council has been running the Performing Arts Creation Center program to discover outstanding new works in the basic performing arts field. This year, from January to March, the program will present 31 new productions selected across six genres: theater, original musicals, dance, music, original opera, and traditional arts. Among these, the original opera 1.5°C, a climate change opera, portrays the climate crisis with both realistic and sci-fi elements while emphasizing the importance of practicing carbon neutrality.
